Instancing and Memory Usage
*************************

Why do I used more GPU memory when taking one plant and copying it 10 times, rather than it staying exactly the same ?? I thought the major point of Octane is that it can do geometry instancing, to save GPU memory ?
So one plant should be the same GPU memory footprint of 10 instances of that plant.

Is there something special I have to do, like my a PROXY object ?

once you copy them as instance. select all objects right click and go to octane properties and enable Movable proxy. All moving objects and instances must have this on to make render faster and save memory

I think this makes the render a little bit slower, not faster...
