Hardware investment for an architect

Hello,

I'm an architect and I work in two different places where I have 2 computers in each one.

My actual rig is :

First place :

Old Antec P180 case : 2x780ti 1200w
Old Antec P180 case : 1x780ti+580 1200w

Second place :

Silverstone case : 3x590 1500w
Corsair Carbide 200r : 2x780ti 1000w

I will definitely stick with this 4 computers configuration because I need 2 in each place, one for graphic production, and another one for massive rendering, but I noticed I made some bad decisions like buying 590 (low memory, much heat problems), and a 580 which heatens a lot. The cases are also a bit small, they are not very well configured for GPU cooling.

I'm looking for some extra power and I'd like to do good investment to optimize my workflow, but there are so many directions and so many mistakes possible in investments, so I have few questions with different scenarios and I need advises :

Scenario A - Would it be a good way to use the 4 stations for distant network vpn rendering since my bandwidth is 100kb/s in upload and it It would cost me 2 additional licenses ?

Scenario B - If A seems complicated and not worth, is it worth upgrading the actual computers for more GPUS ? It would cost me cases upgrades, then one additionnal GPU per machine... What are the good choices for computer cases for good airflow optimization, then maybe later watercooling upgrade ? By the way What's the number of GPU to step to watercooling ? What kind of case could give some time before doing the upgrade ?

Scenario C - Is external solution more advised as future investment ? (2 new stations with more gpus)

What do you think should be my roadmap for my usage ? I would like is just making better choices and not regret it like i'm doing with 590, and 580, and small cases which were bad investments in my opinion since I'm forced to sell them because of their limitations.

Every advise would be appreciated. If you need more information please ask.

Best regards

I have also been thinking upgrading and spending a great deal into this.

What has kept me from doing this - is ORC. I am thinking, if I spend there that amount what I am going to spend on a fast machine, I assume I have lot of time in cloud - with unbelievable firepower. So, I am just waiting the ORC pricing before I figure this out. With ORC, I can work even with my laptop pretty much anywhere.. To me, ORC is very tempting route, but, it depends on the pricing, hard to say at the moment. I'll just have to wait and be patient.
