Hi All.
I would like to get some input on using Substance painter textures on a Octane Glossy material.
If anyone can fill in the gaps that would be awesome.
Base Color = Diffuse
Metallic = Specular
Roughness = Roughness
Normal = Normal
Height = Displacement
Also, What Octane Texture type should be used on each of those slots? ie. Image texture, Float Image Texture etc.
Kind Regards
Craig

I'm not an expert to be honest. I have Quixel, and I think the 'metalic' workflow is a lot different. I'm sure that SP will be able to export in a diffuse, spec,glossy or roughnes, normal, height config.

If you have bought Substance painter there are allot of exporter settings included.
Including Octane.

If your installations is messed up you can used the file I have attached.
Extract it to Substance Painter\shelf\export-presets after unpacking the spexp file

Can someone take a screen grab of their Node graph please with things hooked up?
I would totally appreciate it.
Also Does anyone have a link for converting say maya textures to octane textures?
Or how this would work using the Maya plugin directly?

Hi guys.
Thanks for the replies.
@blackshore Thanks for that. Yea. I am a legal user of both those pieces of software.
My presets start with Arnold, and end with Vray, With no Octane in the list.
Thanks again for the file, I see its been downloaded many times, which means you've helped many of us
I've been off the forum for a month, so sorry for that.
Cheers
