Mesh not rendering when referenced

Hi,
I have a scene with 15 meshes called “Goblin_Complete” that renders fine. When I reference “Goblin_Complete” into a scene called “Shot_5,” everything but the eyes render. Here are some specs:
Windows 10
Maya 2016 sp2
OctaneRender_for_Maya_2.24.1_-_7.11
OctaneRender _2_24_win64
I’m using 34% of GPU Memory with 18 file textures.
EYE MESHES
Geometry Type: Movable Proxy.
General Visibility 1
Camera Visibility 1
Shadow Visibility 1
Layer ID 1
Constant Topology Off
Level 0
Sharpeness -
bound Interp. Edge and Corner
schme Catmull Clark
Change Names to Unique is turned ON.
In verbose mode, the Script Editor specifically reports on the eye meshes that are not rendering:

Since these are the only meshes being specifically reported, I assume Maya/Octane is trying to tell me something about the eyes. Does anyone know what it is? Why do the eyes render in the source file, but not when they are referenced?
