Connecting emission node to a scatter node in NE

Hi,

For your information, there is a problem with Scattering medium node and emitter (blackbody or texture).

It's not possible to connect an emitter to a Scattering medium in the node editor as it should be. Even if the specular material is not connected or edited via a MixMaterial, it's not possible to connect an emitter to a medium in the node editor.

It's possible to add an emitter to a scattering medium inside the attributes panel if you edit directly the specular material but not if you edit the specular material inside a MixMaterial. Anyway, changing the parameters of the emitter connected in this way never refresh the live viewer. You need to refresh manually after every modification. After connecting the emitter via the attributes panel, it's visible and possible to edit in the node editor.

This works fine in standalone.

Well... this is not very important but good to know. Hope this will be usefull to someone. ;)

Well. I have made some mistake in my previous post. The refresh of the LV works fine with an Emitter connected to a Scatter Medium. There were a global refreshing problem on my C4D when i tested it.

Anyway, it's not possible to add an emitter to a Scatter Medium in the node editor by simply adding a Blackbody or Texture emission and dragging the output cord to the Emission port of the Scattering Medium. It's not possible to connect it. The cord stays red and doesn't accept the connection. I'm on Cinema 4D R14, maybe it's specific to the R14.

But it works if you add the emitter from the drop down menu of the emission in the attributes of the Scattering Medium. In this case, the emission node is added to the node editor and correctly connected.

It's just a little bug in the node editor.
