Hi everyone!

I'm new in this forum, so hello all !

I have a trouble/question, so if anyone could help me would great

As c4d user i'm used to work with c4d renderer and maxell render, but last days i discovered Octane... Im amazed with it, but i have a BIG problem, my workstation is a NEW MacPro 2013, and as u know Nvdia doesn't make graphic cards for it, so that means that i can't use Octane in ? Or... There's any choice to connect externaly a graphic card from Nvdia via Thunderbolt ?do you know any brad who makes this kind of work ??

Thanks alot, your help would be very wellcome

hi there =) & welcome to forums.

I guess Your new Mac is that bin, isn't it? =) there are several options to use eGPUs via Thunderbolt =) most of them are crazy expensive I mean You're looking for ~1k for single GPU & 2-3k for dual/quad (for the box alone..)

so guys here on this forum try to do things much more simple..or I should say cheaper by adapting Thunderbolt to PCIe devices - You need to disassemble those & have external power supply =) Good idea is to put everything into small computer case if You don't want to scatter parts around.

p.s. next time flick thru active topics or use inbuilt search functionality - that might save You some time & You can find pretty detailed threads =) like MAC + eGPU

Have a nice reading & overall good time out here =)

Cheers
tom
