Should the procedural color be shown at the colored clay?

Hi,

I load the brush metal from the material DB and copied the texture from the bump to the diffuse color. I switched to the colored clay mode, but don't see the stripe pattern. Is it not possible?

(It could be great if temporary parts of a material could be shown at the viewport only. For example if I use a procedural bump I would like the bump color map at the viewport for easier adjustment - for example the Vray material editor allow this.)

Ciao,
Micha

Hi - the Clay rendering mode is controlled from the Octane renderer rather than the plugin, so this is a general feature request you will need to make to the Otoy team (I suggest posting it in the Octane Standalone 2.24 release thread). For your reference, the Clay Rendering functionality is described at https://docs.otoy.com/#51Clay%20Rendering%20Modes.

I can't found the info about procedural texture at the diffuse slot at the help page - shouldn't it be visible at the colored clay output?

I'm unsure of the intended functionality of the clay mode. You'll need to pose this question to the Otoy devs in the Octane Standalone 2.24 thread.
