Hi Does anyone use vignetting in their projects?
Do all CG companies use this and what is it for by chance?

Thank you

It's one of those things that people that "real" cameras use don't like and want to get rid of :) ... and cg people tend to put into their animations to make them look more "real"

Same a chromatic abberation or blurring the edges of the frame, lens flares, glow, perspective bending, film grain etc.

Using these very briefly usually creates the impression that the shot was actually filmed with a camera and isn't an animation. And that's why it's usually overused... :)
