Octane is crashing during rendering

Hi guys,
I have this really annoying issue with the Octane renderer (a C4D bugreport was already sent to Maxon and they wrote me, that this is a Octane problem).
My renderings are crashing after a while...sometimes it takes a couple of minutes, sometimes a couple of hours (C4D is freezing - so I cant send you a log) not matter if its rendering in the LV or render que.
Here´s what I have tried:
_all meshes have Octane tags
_I´ve tried several priorities (low, middle, high) on one and on both cards (see my PC specs below)
_I have switched off openGL (to get more VRAM)
_I have switched off the 2nd monitor (to get more VRAM)
_I have enabled out of core textures (GPU info shows that 2GB are free)
MY SPECS >>
hardware:
I7-5960x CPU 3GHz
24GB RAM
2x 980GTX 4GB
software:
xparticles version 2.59.0051
octane version 2.24 in C4D
nvidia driver 355.60
Win 10 pro
Cinema4D R16 (latest version)
Here is also a screenshot of the latest C4D freeze. Maybe it makes sense to send you the C4d file, as well?
Hope that helps a bit.
Best
