What are the best setting or workflow for accurate Octane renders ( floating point ) to 24 bit Photoshop?

Curently, i save in Octane as 32bitFP TIFF, and then, in photoshop i adjust settings to create an adequate 24 bit RGB.

However, i dont like the results, I can get the natural photographical result i am expecting.... images look always clipped on the highs or else....

part may be my monitor, but i dont think this is the main cause. Maybe i just dont know how to handle floating point images well....

I suppose that work in linear space (not tone mapped) exporting the images as full precision EXR files is way to work in post with the rendered images, but I am not an expert in postproduction at all.
