Path tracing - weird single pixel brighter dots

When i turn the path tracing on, and wait for the render to finish - meaning go to 16000 Samples/pixel even then
you are able to see stray bright pixels on a grey non textured surface... which makes me kinda weary of using that
mode at all. Cuz when i use it with real models and environment on my GTX 660Ti it takes upwards to 10 hours and
the finished render doesnt look finished at all. Those stray bright pixels are the most visible and contrasting on
reflections and stronger bump maps... wth is wrong? Or am I doing something wrong?

Hotpixel removal is set to 1.0 and GI clamp is set to 1000000.0

I found a thread about it below... lol Thanks for wasting your time reading this anyways haha :D I'll try to be a less

If you click on the Octane Notes link in my signature, it's got info on this. In summary, start with GI Clamp about 10, and if you get noise set the Hot Pixel slider towards 0. And Caustic Blur will also fix this.
