Not even one scene i have tried has got its materials recognized properly. Skin that i have SSS in poser does not get recognized as scatter node
in Octane, simple transperency does not get recognized atall, for example a window. I'm trying the demo to decide wether it is worth it to spend
money on the full version... but so far i have to spend more time fixing materials manually, and with a big scene im better off waiting for a render
from poser... Can someone please explain to me what am I doing wrong?

This is my scene im trying to test, and just look at the octane window... ?!?!?! What is this? is it rendering a wall? I have thought it did not recognize
the window's transparency, so i set opacity to 0. but the result is still the same... :/ Please help any ideas?

A good place to start is the manual - https://docs.otoy.com/#rPoser. There is an FAQ in the manual which will probably answer most of your questions. The Poser SSS node does not translate to the Octane Scatter node - pls see the FAQ for details. Regarding the transparency - I suspect the Poser prop for the wall is using a transmap which is not being recognised as the opacity map in the plugin (you would need to post a screenshot of the Poser Material room for that material in order for me to determine).

There are also tutorial videos at https://vimeo.com/53821805 and http://youtu.be/31GcDjw1AQs and my blog has a heap of additional info (link in my signature).

Yeah i have played with it the whole day and ive learned alot. Only thing now i need to firugre out
is how to make metal or glass materials... Kinda like in reality, they had premade materials selection based
on the physical data about the reflectivity and refraction index of the metals, so they look like in real life... I cant find
that in octane. Does that mean you have to create them yourself?

You can download a lot of these from the Octane LiveDb (try the "Absolute Textures" section. Metals will be Glossy materials with a high IOR, and glass will be Specular materials with an IOR of about 1.45. For glass, set the transmission to white.
