New progressive photon mapping (ppm) for new OR v3?

Hi, guys!
Will new PPM kernel be added for Octane Render v3? Or next generation of PMC kernel?
Because of
cases very hard are examples:
light laser and/or
caustics (very) sharp (if light point or light bit area; the thin sun in Mars, in Jupiter or in other planet, moon or other things more far).
PPM solves these cases.

Still no response...

No, at the moment there is no new kernel planned for 3.x. We definitely plant to have a look at new methods in the future, but for 3.x there will probably no time for that.

Thank for your info

but I'm bit sad.
But I'm waiting any news until future...

56 months later...
New
"PPM" Hybrid kernel will be released for future OR
2020.x under next few months for
quick caustics after PMC kernel (2011).

Better late than never my friend! And I was thinking of you when I was presenting that slide.

Yeah, but the question is:
Can OTOY solve the problem of Luxrender SPPM with caustics ? Cause the PPM Kernel has to be able to also calculate INDIRECT CAUSTICS! That is the whole point of full caustics. Maybe you guys have a solution. Maybe multiple passes (internally in the kernel?).
OR.
can you implement Manifold Caustics Samplingon GPU ? Would that be an option ? It works with Unidirectional PT BTW. Here the paper:
