there is the glas material and with a polygon selection i put the other material (image with alpha/opacitiy) on the bottle

how did you go about your mix texture? That should be the right way to do it:

Create glass texture, and create the label texture (with an alpha channel). Put both materials into the mix texture, and in the amount, put your label's alpha channel.

Don't use c4d bitmaps. Imagetexture is better with extra parameters.

Oh I see the issue. Like Ahmet just mentioned above, you're using a C4D image texture. You need to use Octane Image Texture for the amount. In amount, choose "image texture" from the octane materials, then load in your decal alpha channel into that. Also keep in mind Octane doesn't like things like png's with transparency. Convert your alpha to a black and white image. Hope that helps.

No need to convert pngs. Just select "alpha" in mode to use alpha.

Hey guys, how did you get the label to show up flat mapped onto thefront of the bottle? Octane doesn't seem to honor the C4D projection techniques.

Propably doing some mistake. It's of course works with most projection types. Any sample scene to show what's the problem?

Thanks for getting back to me.. .LOL user error is way more than most of my problems. I attached the image i've been working on.

The logo on the mug is stuck there using the mix texture, but I got it into position by screwing around with the UV Transform node for a long time until it finally showed up in kinda the right place.

Are you saying that the regular C4D projections should work? I tried that and got no results. Meaning that the image didn't show up on the object unless it was set to UVW.
