Was wondering if anyone has used the boolean plugin with octane? It appears like it make a bunch of n-gons, I don't want to purchase it unless it's compatible.

Thanks in advance!

:? Any ngons you would end up with can always be converted to tris... then they are absolutely compatible...

If by some chance you have not known that you can select all ngons in Polygon Statistics (W on keyboard and click + beside >4 Vertices) and immediately convert all those to triangles (Shift+T), you have been missing out on quite a lot bro (you would not be the first I have come across that wasn't aware)... Polygon Statistics is one of my best pals... wish I could take the bastard out for a steak dinner, for all his years of excellent service.

I was under the assumption that you could use this in layout as well, not just in modeler (yes i know you can triangulate ngons lol). I could have sworn i saw someone using it in layout but now I can't find the video.

Edit: it appears it is only a modeler script

Sorry for a bit off-topic post but:

-does the 3rdpower tools work 100% with LW2015.2 64-bit?
-how the payment goes? I saw that shopping cart is some kind of Paypal feature but where and how soon the download links and licenses will be received?
-can the Metameshes be used in Octane or do they need to be frozen or something else?

I planning to buy almost all tools and I want to be sure before sending that large amount of money :)
I have written to both 3rdpowers emails but no reply yet.

Can someone confirm this is reliable shop? :)

Thank you!

Antti

I answer to myself:

YES! The purchase was almost immediate and license key arrived in less than half an hour.
I purchased the whole collection and I can VERY warmly recommend them to all, they are totally amazing tools and work perfectly with Octane as well :)
