C4D Materials - not rendering properly

Hey guys,
I know that there are simple ways to convert materials from standard c4d to octane, but I still wonder...
When I user the demo to evaluate wether octane is worth the bucks (it is!), I was pretty happy that it seamlessly rendered even standard cinema materials, which could come in handy on some older project files which need an upgrade. And since I'm having a job this week in the need of exactly such an update, I thought about using octane on it and havin far less rendertimes. But the result simplay has to be more or less exactly the same to fit to the rest, so a conversion to octane materials is impossible in this case.
Sadly after I bought the plugin combo today, those material formerly rendering in the demo are now showing in some sort of white clay mode. I checked the "c4d materials" box in the settings... what wrong here?
regards,
phil
