No Maya demo for OSX?

Hey,

I've been trying out the standalone render for a while, but have been hoping to try the Maya plugin before purchasing. Why is there a Maya demo for Windows, but not OSX? Plenty of other OSX packages have demos available, I've no idea why I can do it on C4D & not Maya. Can't be assured i will buy it without the ability to test it in my workflow.

Cheers

There is a link to a demo version for maya in this thread, so apparently it is in the pipeline:

http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=49191

Unfortunately, I cannot download the link unless I have a license (?), so that kind of defeats the purpose. I love it in C4D, but that's not my preferred 3d application. I'm looking forward to test driving it in Maya. I bought a second nvidia card just for that purpose.

The link on the demos page has been updated to the latest OctaneRender for Maya version (2.23.2 - 7.8).

Ah, that's fantastic, thanks!

The install doesn't seem to go through though, nothing showing up in the plugin list for 2015 or 2016. Tried on my desktop and my macbook, same result each time.
Console kicks back the following messages when opening and running the installer:

06/08/2015 23:14:07.575 CoreServicesUIAgent[802]: Error -60005 creating authorization
06/08/2015 23:14:08.179 com.apple.xpc.launchd[1]: (com.apple.imfoundation.IMRemoteURLConnectionAgent) The _DirtyJetsamMemoryLimit key is not available on this platform.

06/08/2015 23:14:18.046 UserEventAgent[716]: com.apple.TMHelperAgent.SetupOffer enabled

Desktop is on 10.10.3

Laptop on 10.10.2

Any ideas?

Just redownload the demo installer again. The file was corrupted. Should be OK now...
