Hi,

Can you supply a testscene ? zip it up and attach it here.

Thanks,

May be you have a similar issue I had with a face I put at the wrong location. Although everything worked well in Blender, the obj made Octane crash everytime I tried to import the mesh with message "ERROR: Program executed illegal instruction.. terminating" on Linux.

I've isolated the faulty geometry and attached the file if you want to have a look. Not same workflow as yours but may be same bug at import time...

Hi I'm sorry to bother you here with a question not strictly related with Octane... but I see you are a Blender user. I'm trying to import an OBJ file in Blender 2.56 but I can't seem to be able to apply normal vertex maps for smooth shading. The OBJ file comes from PRO|Engineer and is imported well in Lightwave but not in Blender :(
