With typical VR scenes being a horizontal vista, I decided to experiment with a vertical scene, where the more interesting points are above and below you. (This can only be done effectively with a cube map, as traditional spherical maps tend to severely distort the zenith and nadir of VR scenes) To further enhance the concept, the scene takes place aboard a spacecraft or space station in a Zero-G environment with a companion floating up alongside you.
