i have purchased some trees from evermotion.

they are some nice models, and i have learned, that adding a trasmission effect makes them come more alive.

just for fun - i wonder if it's somehow possible to add some randomness to the leave texture - so some leaves are darker and others brighter?

you can do random color using gradient texture with random color input but leaves will only have color not texture
or you can create mix material material one is yellow leaf and on material 2 is red . Then add random color texture to the amount. You will have tree leaves of some different shades.
I wish octane had random texture option

Just make sure you dont use random colors in Xrefs with animation.
