Hi,

I made a short movie in my free time using Octane for 3dmax and Cinema4D. Some of the forest scenes with the boar and the title character are made with Vray.

It's a kickass! How long did you render it? What software was used?

nienieskiem - everyone has free time, i started making this animation in the middle of 2014.

smicha - i used 3Dmax + Vray / Octane , Cinema4D + Octane, After Effects, Zbrush, Mudbox, PhoenixFD, HairFarm, SpeedTree, OnyxTree

As for the render times i did not go above 2 hour / frame for any of the shots. For the waterfall all the needles were rendered as geometry with glossy refraction and pathtracing was used for rendering, it took about 1 hour / frame on 2x 780ti. That was the biggest scene for rendering and one of the hardest ones to animate.
