Hi,
I want to create a stereoscopic 360° video with Octane.
I need to know how upload it on my Gear VR, what's the app to to play it, what resolution to use, frame rate, audio-video bitrate, and if I have to use mp4 h264 as output.
Obviously I will not render frames at 18432x1536 but a lower resolution.
Orbx player is already able to play stereoscopic videos?
regards

Hi
Just render 2048 x 2048 Spheical Not CUBE ,
Set stereo to Over - Under
Use conveter software to make the movie iin MP4 Format still using 2048X2048.
Move it into oculus forlder on the sim card, into the 360 Video Folder.
Play
30 frames/sec is ok, but 60 is better

These will also play in the orbx player, just like the images. You can set partial fov and play a video over cube map bg.

HI all,
I have a 2048 x 2048 Spherical video set stereo to Over - Under MP4 and I'm playing in the ORBX player on a Gear VR using an S6. Is it possible to play back videos with a higher resolution in the player?
Kind Regards

It seems that the gearvr has a "Vertical resolution cannot exceed 2160 due to OS limitations."
So some are rendering 4096 x 2048 OVER-UNDER to bump up the quality.
Is there any research on size-frame rate-data rate optimization for mobile and desktop.
Found this online: "I've had great results outputting to 3840 x 1920 (4096 x 2048 videos stutter) as per Carmack's suggestion."

I rendered out a basic test scene on 3ds max and I am seeing a massive seam up top. I rendered out to 2048 X 2048 At 60 and opened on Oculus 360 degree video player. Any suggestions?
How does the 360 degree viewing work with 3ds Max and octane plugin?
