this might a very noob question - sorry :-/
on the iphone one can create an panorama image by moving the phone while recording.
i wonder if it's possible to do something like that in 3ds max / octane?
i would like a wide image of a interior, and but if i adjust the FOV of the camera, the image gets deeper, but i don't get more of surroundings :-/
thanks

HI there =)
When You tweak the fow or lens parameter Your perspective gets more or less "expressed". if You want sort of fisheye effect also tune Lens distortion from 0 to 1 =)
However for creating panoramic images use not thin lens camera, but panoramic one - this will give You full 360 view rather than maximum of 180 using before mentioned technique.
hope that helps. Drop a line if You need more info!

hi glimpse
thanks for your input.
it seems that my version of the plugin don't have the panorama option and seems that Lens distortion is also missing :-/
i'm using version 2.15 for max. - this might cause the problem...

ou, sorry if I messed the naming (I work in standalone & ussully don't pay attention to naming of parameters) simply use spherical or cylindrical. do You have any idea what how those two differ? =) think names talk for themself =)
