What's the difference?

I can already render panoramic scenes using the Octane Blender plugin - why do I need OctaneVR, what's the difference?

If I want to use Octane "2.23" which is now called "OctaneVR" - does that mean my current standalone/plugin licenses are void of further updates?

Is is me or is this situation pretty unclear?

hi,
don't worry, your OctaneRender licence are still up and running ;)
Basically OctaneVR is a reduced version of OctaneRender with a couple of limitations:
no more than 2 GPU for rendering and the support for net rendering is disabled.
It's the starting point for non octane users to get in touch with it and for the next two months is free. After this period we don't already know what will happen, we will see ;)
Anyway for the OctaneRender user nothing is changed with regular updates and improvements.
