This is my first ever attempt to play with #VR content. If not OTOY & Octane Render I would not have a thought about getting into that, Thanks!
Already started a WIP thread making a scene specifically for this contest (http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=46200), but thought it's not the best idea to put too much time into making something unique & then upload without even testing (I left this for 2nd round)..
So for this first round, I ended up converting simple lighting-test/3d-sketch. The process itself was not so complicated: setup a scene, place a camera, choose some parameters. Much more goes into finding that right place for observation (much harder than it looks)..
Being a fan of minimalism I see the beauty in just the right amount things around & that's what this work was all about. Been curious to see this space in #VR (fingers crossed I get to experience that in few days).
Most of furniture is based-on/inspired by Thonet's products. Also there's a pair of B&O speakers & Sony's Ultra Short Throw Projector by the wall in between. Kitchen table is called Kami. Space itself is "cleaned-out/redesigned" familly owned property - been thinking for a while how to convert it into something filled with warm light.
Thanks for watching!
