Hi,

I have a question:

Is this Nvidia Geforce 3D Glasses a good option for better results with the stereoscopic render in octane?

I´m currently using basic glasses that I made myself and I can see it works, but the results are not fine and I think it is because my poor glasses, but I would like to know about this Nvidia Glasses before I purchase it.

Anyone can help me with this, please?

Thanks

Hey,

That would require us to add support for nvidia 3d glasses through it's API.
Since the 3d viewing modes are not used much at all, it's not something that's very high on our priority list at this time.
(adding support for 3d mice would be a higher priority, which is on the near-term list)

Ok, thanks for your reply.

I was so close to buy this glasses and spend money for nothing.

So, the basic generic 3D glasses should to be work in octane, Ih this right?

Yeah, the traditional anaglyphic glasses (a colour filter for one eye and another colour for the other eye, you can find free paper ones with 3D DVDs).
If the colours differ you can change them in the camera properties.

PS: I have been wondering what new thing to buy for the office for christmas and maybe one of those nvidia 3d glasses and LCDs is a good idea. I will see if they are affordable for a christmas present and what is involved in order to implement support for it. (by no account does this guarantee that we will support them though :) )
