Hi all !
A friend of mine has written a book, which I absolutely love.
The story takes place in the 26th century.
I'm not gonna re-write the whole book here, but to put it in a nutshell it's a post-apocalyptic world.
Humans live underwater, in huge cities.
I didn't aim at photorealism here.
I just used Octane to get this "natural light" feel, and also because it's so damn quick to render!
Hope you enjoy it...
- Base modelling in Sketchup
- More advanced modelling and UV-Unwrap in Blender
- Rendered with Octane Beta 2.2b

Awesome texturing work !! I like this kind of 'post-apocalyptic future' feeling a lot ( you can check some of my pics here
http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... f=5&t=4582 and here

Maybe the overall feeling is a little bit too clean and the buildings in the background need a little bit more work
Very nice anyway!

Thanks for your comm !
Your images are just awesome !!!
Since you can produce lights, I assume you're using Octane's latest version?
Is it stable enough?
Cheers!

yes, I'm using the last version.
Keeping in mind that I only use octane in my hobby (I mean not professionaly), I consider that it's stable enough, even if it crashes sometimes. I use to regulary save my work and anything runs fine.
By the way, your friend's book seems really interesting, I will sure throw an eye on it.
