Maya Batch Render hangs

I got the stand alone and Maya plugin from the Metaverse contest page.
I have had good luck rendering stereo cubemaps for vr.

However, I am running into a roadblock with batch rendering. I go to batch render in Maya, on a scene that I've set up with Movable Proxies and and animation and it just hangs. No images are produced and "Rendering with OctaneRender®... " stays there.

Reading through the forums, there have been a lot of issues with batch rendering, but none of them seem resolved.

Please enable the "Verbose mode" in Octane global settings and attach here the batch render log file.

I have the same issue. No IPR capabilities either (just a blue screen)
Already tried updating the drivers, exporting objects to a new scene, clean up geometry, normalise UVs, optimise scene, reinstall Maya and even upgrading to the v3.
Other files works fine, is this particular scene having problems.

Any insights?
