OctaneRender™ for Blender 2.23.2 - 8.5 Win [OBSOLETE]

OctaneRender™ for Blender plugin. Windows x64 version.

The bundle consists from two parts:
1. OctaneRender™ Server
2. Blender - OctaneRender™ edition.

The first part (server) should be run on the same computer as the second one. To stop the server - just right-click its icon in the tray.
After the server is run - you can start rendering (or open a rendered view) from inside Blender. Before the very first rendering you should fill in the server address (only 127.0.0.1 at the time), login and password (your license key info) to activate the server. After the first rendering the server will remember this activation info, and you will not need to enter it again.

You should use only OctaneRender materials inside Blender scenes - the plugin knows nothing about Blender specific materials and textures (about any Blender nodes, generally speaking).

FIXES AND NEW FEATURES SINCE LAST RELEASE
  • Fixed the OctaneServer exit behaviour.
  • Fixed the script error in world node editor.
  • Improved the "Texture Paint" mode to support Octane image textures.

After starting OctaneServer it will take some time before the LiveDB tree and LiveDB material previews will be available from Blender - as OctaneServer caches the LiveDB data from remote server right after starting. But only the materials groups tree will be re-cached every time after server start, LiveDB material preview images will be cached only once - so only the very first OctaneServer start will need some more time before LiveDB tree will be available in Blender.

That's absolutely awesome!

May I ask if that means that Cycles nodes no longer work?

(I ask because I have a couple of Octane projects with Cycles image texure nodes, and I'd rather not mess them up...)

Thanks Jim. Your work is excellent. Blender is very good and combined with Octane become a great tool. Thanks thanks thanks.
Hello, SimDal

PS. I'd like your wife did another tutorial :-)
I'd like to know how to use in blender-octane ibl + HDR
I'd like there was an automatic way to convert materials

I had this problem too. I was working on an old project and troubles started when I added lots of vegetation (appended from working blend files) and some new materials. I can't reproduce it now and I'm not sure what fixed the problem, but I suspect that one new material could have caused this. It had box projection and scale transform applied to the texture. When I deleted the projection & transform nodes (and unwrapped the mesh instead), Octane started working again. Before that I also tried deleting all the textures and reapplying them, but I don't know if this actually made any difference...
I tried to reproduce it a while ago - I added the projection & transform nodes to the faulty material, but got a different error this time.

Now I got the "right" error. It showed up out of the blue while I was editing a mesh with interactive rendering turned on, and disappeared after restarting Octane Server.
