Subscription would be good.

Better would be a server based floating licences on a yearly subscription.

We'd switch wholesale from VRay tomorrow if that we're the case. Can't justify 100 when 40 floating do us with

Currently all our Autodesk software, Sketch-up and VRay licenses work in this way.

Activating and deactivating is too cumbersome when you need the software you can't wait an hour.

This Licence-System is really annoying.
We have 50 workstations, 13 licences, and 7 people would work at the same time. They should change there place often, because the temporary teams are project-depended, it´s better to work together in one room.

We are organising our licences in an excel, because we need to know, who has the licence, who has forgotten to deactivate it.
We have roaming users. The activating informations are saved in the roaming-folder. If somebody changes place, he takes the activating with him, but it doesn´t work on another computer (of course). Again, activating, deactivating, "where are the passwords, which is free".

Could OTOY develope a floating license, or network licence for bigger users?

Would be great for EDU institutions as well. Herding students is even more fun then contractors.

There will be more options for volume licensing with the V3 release.
