ps. forgive for my English....

In plugin for 3d max and in version standalone:

If to make "region render" and to wait until satisfactory quality, and then to enter a floor max.samples value on fullsize render that quality will be much worse.

At "region render" I want to understand what quantity of max. samples I may enter at final fullsize render. It isn't correct to increase "the more - the better" it, it isn't profitable are all expenses of time, electricity....

The subject on this problem was open
render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=45230&start=20&hilit=region+render

The consumer ho have plugin for cinema4d is established showed me that in it this problem is solved-> region render!! max samples!! =fullsize render!! max samples!! (watch link image). If is to deliver 1404 samples at fullsize render, quality of this region will be identical.

In C4D it isn't really solved either.

I'm not exactly sure what you want, but region rendering is meant to be an interactive tool, because usually you don't know in advance, how many samples you want. So what you do is select the region you want to have refined and wait until your are happy and then deselect the region.

The samples you see in the render status is the number of samples per pixel averaged over the whole image, because we don't have the actual number of samples per pixel of the region. The only thing we do know and could display is the samples per pixel in the region, since the region rendering started. If that's what you want, we can add it to our to-do list.

I want to know at once how many I has to specify max. samples for obtaining satisfactory quality. How you represent I has to calculate quantity of sample for the concrete image (which at me for example 60 and everyone from 6000px on the wide party)? I that have to sit over each image and not sleep?) For each image, depending on material, light, its size (my images is very big) will have a certain quantity "max. samples". For 1st it will be 1500, for the 2nd 3500, for the 3rd 10000. I want to know it proceeding from test the region of sites. Look at the image and everything has to be clear to you->
