Feature Request - Don't open Node Editor on Surface Selectio

I know something similar is already in the plugin options panel. However that disables surface selection completly in IPR. What I would like is to have the surface selected but not have the Node editor open up. Not enough screen realestate to have them all open and I copy and paste textures around as I'm updating my library.
Would like to have the option to Select Surfaces and open surface editor...and also a check box to open node editor as well. That way you can do everything.

The "open/update the node editor while picking" feature should select the material without open the node editor. With this option disabled can you select the surfaces? ... it should work.

strange....was testing/using that last night at the house and it wasn't working. At work today tested again, since you asked...and it does work just as I would hope! yay. Thanks.

ok now using this option disabled...meaning not opening up the node editor...there seems to be an issue picking some surfaces. I can't tell you why yet, I'll see if I can replicate with a scene I can share...but I can say that certain surfaces will not select no matter what...until I turn on this option and then they select and open node editor straight away...

You are right. There is a bug in the picker if the option to open the node editor is disabled. I just found the problem
It is fixed now for the next release. Thanks for reporting
