Does motion blur cause deformation?

I am working on a car scene and use camera motion blur. The rendered sequence shows off centered wheels while the preview is ok.
Is motion blur causing this weired effect? How can I prevent it?
Thanx for your hints.

thank you ahmed - I cranked the time steps up, but with a value of 10 I still get some off-center effect on wheels. Must obviously be on a fairly high number.

can't you have any succes on a test scene with similar movement? Let's check your file if you could not!

I have the same motion blur glitches from time to time in LV. It renders fine so in Picture viewer but there is one thing. If I export from LV to standalone Octane , Orbx with animation , octane will render it with the same artifacts like LV. It even happening with your test scene in LV

it's very normal for very fast rotations. it occurs when rotation differences big as 90~180 degree per frame. octane needs more steps to avoid flipping effect

Dear unica
I have had also some problems with this and sometimes I just had to center the axis of the objects and it works ...
Also a boolean operation can cause strange motionblur effects, than you have to convert them to fixed objects ...
Hope that helps ...

I'm having this exact some problem importing my animation from Maya to Standalone. I thought it was an import issue but it's definitely coming from the motion blur.
From what I'm reading here I'm guessing the issue could be caused by the fact that my animation is only 10 frames.....This is just a still image on a backplate so I gathered 10 frames would be plenty to get a still render with blurred wheels.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Lee

I suggest you try to use the "reshapable proxy" geometry type, for your wheels, it might be a quick fix for the problem. (but also give a longer render time)
