hi everybody!
i'm using a mac pro with an octane standalone version (v2.21.1) and c4d plugin (v2.21.1). i now bought a pc with two gtx980s and bought a second octane license and installed the master and slave (v2.21.1). so far so good. c4d as well as the standalone version on my mac do recognize the slave GPUs. they are available in the network settings (green), and can be enabled (running, orange).
but for some reason they don't show up in the c4d octane settings/devices and are not used when rendering. what am i missing here?
any help appreciated!
thanks!
max

Have you activated on render settings or LV->menu->network rendering?

Can you see clients in plugin's network settings? Only problem can be version differences if you see the clients in Standalone.

yes,
i can see the two GPUs from the pc in my C4D octane network settings.
but, as said before, they do not show up in 'devices' and live viewer says 'NetRender 0/0'. i doublechecked that all versions are updated to 2.21.1...
any ideas?
thanks again!

All is that. You should see the slaves on LV's info line as in picture. May be a firewall problem on c4d?

hey ahmet,
one more question: may the problem appear, because i'm logged in with two different accounts? because octane on my mac is registered with another account than on my pc... may this be the problem?
thanks!

i don't know. Licensing and network is little blackbox for plugins. I'll ask to Abstrax for that.

allright, thanks!
one more thing i just found outt: the octane standalone version on my mac actually does use the two GPUs from the pc. so, the problem must be related to c4d...
best.
