Render regions to output files with max resolution

I have an image that is larger than the maximum allowed number of pixels. Is it possible to render regions as separate output files at max resolution so they can be composited later?

I'm aware that I could use a multi-camera rig, but I think the distortion of the 'lenses' would restrict me to orthographic views, which is not something I want.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

You should be able to use lens shift as Roeland posted about here: http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 845#p95845

Thank you FooZe.
