Please Karba

Now are almost three years I'm requesting this feature.
Probably most of the artist here don't work with knowledge about architectural lighting.
If you want to light a road you have to use asymmetrical lights, it doesn't matter what's the final effect, with spherical lights we could light everything.
My client wants the exact ies effect!
With the other renderers (Mray, iray, Corona, Vray, etc.) we can use directional ies lights to see exactly how the ies emitters are oriented in space.
This print screen describes the most complicated case. In Octane you have no idea how to orient this emitter except you design 3 planes and see the light distribution.
I pray Karba and the entire Otoy entourage to implement ies light distribution icon preview + target point.

regards

Yes definitly a must have. I don't work on such light-critical cases but would use IES way more often if it is better implemented in the viewport.

Just to let you know - there is a big request list over here:

http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=45142

Would be great if we can focus on this one and put everything there.
So when developers check the froum they get a good overview what is missing.

Oguzbir will take care of it.
Only 3ds Max related requests please.
