compositing object

Hello
Can somebody explain me how to do this:
I have an object to render with a photo in the background.
I make a fake hdr environnement with the photo to have the feel of lights. (just a speed fake)
I put the photo in background for matching with perspective match ( I like this tool )
I made a plane with a matte material to get shadows on the floor.
BUT I can't make a plane for the floor which reflect in my object.
I tried to make a matte material with a texture -> don't work (it would be soooo simple)
I tried to position my floor (unseen by camera, no shadows)1mm under the matte plane -> no reflections in my object
I tried to position my floor (unseen by camera, no shadows)1mm on top of the matte plane -> no shadows on the matte plane.
Arrrghh. Help would be very cool. :-)

Octane Matte objects unfortunately dont include reflections or colour of reflected matte objects. Octanes matte solution is not fully featured like vray for example. Workarounds might be to use ID pass to mask out what you dont want in Photoshop and render some passes.

Thanks for answer,... it is very strange idea to do such a matte material.
