Place several instances individually.

Hello everyone! :D
I have to render a very large site, there are streets where they placed many trees,..many trees.
How can I create instances if you can not move ??? .....
Do not tell me to move the trees through the placement node and then change the coordinates. This is absurd!
Then? .. Rotate an instance is not easy as the pivot of rotation can not be changed.
An instance is not rotating on itself at the center point of the volume.
... At least I did not succeed. How should I do now? If you have other solutions to place hundreds of trees properly let me know! Otherwise I will have to paste images in postproduction.
.....The feature Gizmo who knows if it will come. :?
Please the team to develop this feature by next update. Not everyone uses plug-in!
I see that you speak of developing many features, such as:
Which features do you need the most? http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=37045 and the basic functions of the software are not completed.
The software Octane Render Standalone Edition should work regardless! Without the support of other programs without having to address the lack of basic functions of other software.
I can not move the geometry through the selective choice with the mouse in a software where you navigate in 3D seems absurd! :o :o
It almost seems that push people to buy only the plug-in.
Thanks ;)

yeah, agree with express point, it would really nice to see at least basic gizmos =) no need t have such navigation & fluidity as programs like 3dsmax have, but now if You move & object, try to rotate it..it's painful process..

I do like Standalone, but some things are too complicated..- You can always say, use plugin, but not everyone wants to do that..I'd be more happy having that functionality inside Octane Render standalone (& seems I'm not alone)..-if that would be possible to implement, that would be simple but useful thing for some users.

Sure! but I'm sure that include this feature is stupid than many other functions that have already been developed!
This feature is not little longer to wait even a month is not conceivable a 3D graphics software to make render, where you can apply materials and more.
But you can not select individually geometries to which you want to apply the material.
Move and select a geometry through muose is essential.
This feature would solve a great defect of Octane, ie the ability to assign a material to a geometry without having to do twice the work in an external relocating materials twice.
If I have assigned the materials hurt before exporting the obj, I will have to re-dozen times after doing maybe two hours of work.
What does this constraint file obj if not exported with materials already assigned, all geometries have the same material .....?
Make sure you can import an obj file to assign the material by selecting the mesh the polymesh.
To develop this feature just see Maxwell Studio or other, these are the commands...Selection> Objects, triangles, materials, select by keyword, uvsets ... etc.

I can not believe that this slow down the roadmap, come on!
Thanks ;)

I think that will be possible in octane render 3 at this point .. :(
Here's the answer http://home.otoy.com/otoy-unveils-octan ... -renderer/ :o :o
Beautiful new features.

Syd,

Use phantom scatter - it's great or:

As for instances - what 3D software are you using? You can you Sketchup for placing your trees (proxy) and then use my and TIG plugin to export only scatter data and paste them in scatter node in the standalone. This is super easy. For the plugin look here:
