Cinema 4D Demo Issues.

We are testing out Octane to see if it is something we want to go with.
However we do run into a few issues with the rendering.

Here is the preview render from the Live Viewer Demo
Banding2.PNG

Here is the final Cinema 4D render:
Banding.PNG
-Notice that the final render does not have the sphere object included. Every time i try to render a cinema 4d sphere using octane, the sphere is only in the preview and not the final render. Is this a bug?
-Notice the color banding on the front and the window of the helicopter. Anyone know how we can get it to render out in full bit depth and not what seem to be a 8bit image? (same render with Physical render does not have any banding)

Avoid banding try to use float buffer + 16/32 bit saving options. And rely to Picture Viewer outputs

Ahh, its a bit annoying that this forum is not indexed by google as you can't search for "sphere".

When i render using float buffer (both options) the image is all black.

Maybe, don't know that. Also i have no idea how could get black rendering. Propably doing somethings wrong. Floatbuffer it self is linear and display darker than LV's tonemapped output. But if you select floatbuffer + 32 bit tif/psd/exr, you are on right way. Or try tonemapped float. Which is tonemapped as doing by camera imager.

Also check this for bandings. Also we had a few more topics about this issue. Actually it's not a issue, just wrong usage. Bandings can occurs due 8bit display and lack of dithering. We discussed that.

Its not just darker its all black (0,0,0).
Banding3.PNG
If i set Render Buffer Type to 8 Bit Buffer i get a fully colored image (in 8 bit)
If i set Render Buffer Type to Float (Tonemapped) its all black
If i set Render Buffer Type to Float its all black

Can't attach c4d files here.

But a completely fresh c4d install.
-Make a cube
-Add a octane material
-Render in 8bit and you see a fine white cube.
-Render in float and its all black.

Of course not like this. Something is wrong on your side.

But since quite a few people are having this issue, i guess it might be a bug in the Octane Cinema 4D Demo:

Hi, sorry for confusion. That looks as a mistake on my side. It will be working on next demo version.
