I don't have any Nvidia's cards,so I haven't use this render engine before.
I'm thinking about this two graphic card.
1.Asus Strix GTX 780 OC 6GD5 (New,not used)
13000NTD (about 410USD)
http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/STRIXGTX780OC6GD5/
2.EVGA GTX 780 Ti Classified K|NGP|N Edition (New,not used)
14500NTD (about 460USD)
http://www.evga.com/Products/Specs/GPU. ... AFDCEBB7CA
More Cuda cores,faster,but only has 3gb vram.
Which one is better?
Is it worth to spend 50USD more for the Ti?

I'd say get STRIX - for less You get more of Vram. If You have space to breathe (don't put any other card close to it, leave at least single slot) - You can easily get more performance out of it, & having more of Vram will always be helpful if You try rendering Higher resolutions, work with more complex files & so on..
K|ngp|n edition doesn't run too much faster out of the box - this card is made with overclocking in mind - for average user there's little to no need to spend more for it =) especially to spend more getting less of vRam. Some Guys could not find 6GB 780s anymore - for that price You can get that's a very good deal! =)

Thanks for your help.
I would go for 780 STRIX 6GB VRAM.

Ok but ASUS is bad for "short" warranty.

You don't need that warranty anyway - from pile of cards used in this forum I've seen/heard only few cards failed - so if You use cards normally there little to no need of any warranties at all =)

Ok. But... I remember my old videocards died:
- XFX GF 6800 Ultra AGP:
dec 3rd, 2004 (original purchase september, 2004 but not I) -
nov 9th, 2006 ---> cannot get RMA

- Point of View GF 8800 GTS 640 despite never OC:
jul 5th, 2007 (original purchase november, 2006 but not I) -
dec 31st, 2009 ---> cannot get RMA

- EVGA GF GTX 480 with
10-year warranty despite OC@760core-1900mem during only ~1 day:
100% new nov 18th, 2010 -
jun 14th, 2014 ---> got RMA to replace to GTX 670
EVGA is good!
Most videocards get very hardly more than 3 years old.

one of the reasons cards get to be fried is their usage without proper airflow in the case - especially older cards could overheat & be damaged('cos they don't throttle)..
however it's our (as a heavy user) duty to provide proper airflow, otherwise we're not only putting cards into danger (causing system instability), but also loosing performance.
other reason they might come up like defected from factory..- this will be covered by any warranty - 'cos You'll figure-out sooner rather than later(even before initial 14 days return period that would apply to any purchase).
evga is a good choice, but in this case it's not the card to choose, because again it's a niche overclocking product with features You never use.. & getting slightly slower card with double amount of vram (for less) is far better deal.

hi! i wanna start to use octane for c4d. for the beginning i want to buy one graphics card and i am undecided between Asus STRIX-GTX780 6gb and ASUS MATRIX-GTX780TI-3GD5... the price is more or less the same, and the 780ti has 25%more shading units but only 3gb vram. Usually my scene files are not that heavy, most of the time it's less than 1gb. Therefore i tend to go for the 780ti, but as the 780 6gb is recommended by some users in here quite often, i am not sure what's the better choice. Thanks in advance for any advice.
