OR Standalone - Activating Clay Rendering Mode?

For some reason I cannot figure out why in OctaneRender standalone 2.21.1 the Clay Rendering Icon is not operateable.

Can anyone point me in the direction what I need to do to make this work.

OR

Quickly confirm if this might be a bug so I can stop trying.

In OR Standalone the Clay Rendering Mode - Button is grayed out

I tried switching between different Kernels like PMC, Info, Direct light.
I also searched around the Layer Passes if Clay Rendering needs to be activated seperately.

In the OcDS plugin all it takes is to just click on the Button to activate the pull down menu and selecting the prefered Clay Rendering Mode.

Can someone point me in the right direction what setting I forgot to adjust in OR Standalone 2.21.1 to activate Clay Rendering Mode?

It must be something really silly that I forgot to toggle somewhere but I am tired of searching around.
Maybe someone else run into this lately as well?

Hi there,

The viewport controls are locked, clicking the lock button on the right should help.
unlock the viewport
unlock the viewport

Thank you so much for having the patience once again to help me out so quickly.

:oops:

Sigh, I knew it had to be something VERY obvious.

Because the material picker still works when the viewport is locked I did not think to try out the lock symbol.
So far I considered the lock only as a "camera" lock.
Another thing learned.


Good news is the OctaneRender Clay mode is the same as the OcDS Clay+ mode so I got now all passes I need in OR standalone.

Update / Edit:

It would be interesting if the Clay modes would be part of the info passes as well.

That way the Clay pass could be rendered out with all the other info passes after the beauty pass is done.
