Hey guys,
I´m currently undecided wether or not I should make the Switch from DAZ Studio to Carrara. I like the fact that animations can be done way easier and much more realistically with Carrara, and the dynamic hair is something I really like.
Thing is as I´ve heard the hair system in Carrara is not supported by Octane. However, there are several dynamic hair products out for sale on the DAZ website. Are these products compatible with Octane?
Thanks and best

Hair must be made of polygons to work with the plugin. The traditional trans-mat hair and 'poly-fiber'. Do you have any particular products in mind?

Sorry, those are all dynamic hair products. Dynamic hair is not supported by the plugin.

I see, thanks for clearing that up!
So what´s the usual way to have hair move dynamically in an animation? Do it by hand like in DAZ Studio?

Hello Sighman,
you mentiond this 'Poly-Fiber' hair. Do you can name me a (DAZ) product that is a member of these?
Thanks in advance,
Eddy

Thank you Sighman,
I've tried it with
http://www.daz3d.com/xanadu-hair and it works really fine.

There is no transforms done at all. It is mesh that is loaded like an obj. Nothing more, nothing less. And yes they take a lot of memory to load.
