Using Genitals for G2F Dislocates Textures

Has anyone else experienced this problem?
I´m using RedSpecSSS for G2F and it works fine, unless I use the Genitals for G2F. Then, the feet disappear and the texture for the torso gets dislocated and resized so that it´s got white areas all of a sudden, same with the eyelids.
It´s really weird, anyone has an idea what might cause this?
thanks and best!

Hi !
What version of DAZ Studio and DAZ Studio OR plug-in are you running?
What character are you trying to use the genitals and/or shaders on?
Are the Errors appearing in the DAZ Studio viewport as well or only in the OctaneRender viewport?
I would need this information in order to help you faster
Thanks
Noel
PS: This most likely sounds like an UV issue...but we'll see after you were able provide the information

that sounds like the geograft bug.
either use DrHemulen script or the geoshell workaround

yeah this UV issue is a major pain. Even if you get it to work for a bit, one day randomly it will implode on you :/
Its not particular to any texture set. Sometimes it works ok, most of the time not so much.

I have a solution that may or may not work for everyone (OcDS 2.15).
In my case I've only experienced it with the G2F/G2F genitalia, so far never with any other geografts including the G2M/G2M genitalia.
I do not have the RedSpecSSS shader so I don't know if my solution will work for richertmx, it works 100% of the time for me though. The only requirement is you need to have at least 2 UV sets (or maybe more) on your main figure, in this case G2F.
When this happens in OcDS viewport - I've never had the problem in DS viewport - after applying a geograft (textures going crazy, limbs disappearing, etc), I go to DS' surface tab and go to the UV dropdown menu. From there I just switch between available UV sets and it seems to "encourage" OcDS to reset and reload the textures and thus display them correctly according to the appropriate UV set(s). Usually all I need to do is switch from whatever is selected as default to something else and then switch it back to what it was before.
Example: Switch "base female" to "Victoria 6" while observing any change in OcDS viewport, usually the issue will either remain or become worse, switching back to "base female" is usually all I need to do to set things right. If error remains, I just keep switching between available UV sets until OcDS displays the textures correctly, so far it has always worked for me.

Doesn't work for me in 1.2

That's because the "generic" RedSpec TGX tailored shaders for G2F/G2M weren't designed to work with 1.2.
It is an unfortunate but necessary evil - Sorry!

No the U/W flip solution he discribes, not your shaders.
The geograft error doesn't have anything to do with redspecs shader, it's a general problem.

Yup, I know.
Thought you were referring to RedSpec.

Hi there,
I have had the same problems but yesterday while doing something else I noticed that I did not get the issues anymore. In fact I can change materials including RedSpec material on both the genitalia part and the actual G2F character. Basically my aim was to save the materials including RedSpec material as a Material preset for my character so that I did not need to setup RedSpec every time. I use normals on my character and RedSpec uses bumps. So changing the nodes every time to set the normals was a pain. Hence wanted to save it as a DAZ Studio material preset. Do note while doing this, I did not load the geo-grafted genitatia.
Once I saved the material preset, I started with a new scene. Loaded my base character without material. Then added the geo-grafted genitalia. After that from the preset folder, applied the material preset I had saved to my character. After that in the surface tab I copied the hip material to the geo-grafted genitalia. Then I went to the Octane Materials tab. Clicking on any of the surface selected the correct corresponding Octane / RedSpec material.
I did duplicated the hip material again in the Material tab and dragged and dropped it (the copy) to the geo-grafted genitalia. Do not try to drag the hip RedSpec material applied to the G2F directly to the geo-grafted part. One last thing I had to do was again set up the texture map again as all the texture maps went missing in the RedSpec hip template. But other settings like my normal textures etc remained.
After doing the above, I could change RedSpec nodes on the main character or the geo-grafted genitalia etc without the issues occurring.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Rajib
