Continuing in the original TGX tailored flavour, we bring to you a dedicated shader suite customized to work with any character based on Genesis 2 Males (Michael 6, Lee 6, Gianni 6 etc.)

After almost one year, we wanted to tweak our original concept of achieving a photorealistic human skin shader for DAZ3D figures - and today we're proud to say, that our months of research and labor finally distilled into one powerful, yet hyperrealistic human skin shader.
Not only were we able to increase texture detail preservation and specular as well as bump shading, but we also managed to reduce rendering times by 30 - 40 % in comparison to the original TGX shaders.

The shader contains full support for the Poser 2.21 and DAZ Studio plug-in 2.1 pre-release 5
There are 30 materials in total (genitalia supported as well)

You can check out our web-page and previous shader works at our official homepage: http://redspec-sss.com/ and also on our deviantArt group page http://redspecsss.deviantart.com/
If we got you interested we'd like to invite you to join our deviantArt group, discuss our products in our official forums and see how much more creative you can get, when our shader is taking care of the realism.

A bundle with the Genesis 2 Female shaders is available as well.

Thanks for your time

What are the extra uv maps for? To replace the ones that already are in the Figure from poser?

The extra UV maps are our SSS opacity maps, created to assign the SSS strength to certain body parts / limbs etc.
These are necessary for a believable organically scaled scattering effect.

Do I apply these in Poser or Octane Plugin for Poser?

They can be applied in either the Poser and/or DAZ Studio plug-in.
You can however export them to standalone :)

I did 2 renders. One without trans maps you provide, and one with. Used the TGX 5.2.2. Option 3 most glossy MD2 and saw no difference what so ever. I opened poser materials and connected the Trans maps to the transparency node. Did I miss a step? Thanks.

Actually there is a big difference.
The effect - however - isn't something visible on plain sight. The SSS opacity maps determine where the SSS effect is stronger and where it is not present at all.
With our initial release we didn't have those maps, so the SSS effect was quite "all-over-the-place" in the full sense of the word.

We believe that SSS applied with a SSS transmap is the way it should be applied.

I believe you, but fact still remains, there was no difference at all. Don't know why I am not seeing any difference. Hmmm. Suggestions? :? :? :?

Set up two scenes, one without and one with the SSS maps.
Now shine a strong directional light at the character from behind - you should be able to tell the difference now ;)
