I would advise against using the random color generator if you are using XREFS as the the colors change every time you send a new render. All of our cars and trucks keep changing color if we send a new render, or patch frames. A real letdown as its a great feature.

same with itoo forest if forest visibility set to camera every frame regenerates trees with different colors. Otoy promised to fixed color randomization when geometry is updated

Any solutions for this in the pipe?
