Hi Folks!
I hope u can help me with this. I have Octane Standalone and Plugin for C4D installed and activated on my laptop. The slave is installed on the other machine. When i activate network rendering in C4D plugin everything works fine.
The Slave console wants me to enter my Liveaccount Username and Password but it doesnt accept it. Neither the plugin Login or the standalone Login. Am I missing something here? Do I need an extra license for the slave ?

yes, every clients want a different standalone license. That's the policy of licensing at the moment. You need a SA license for each pc(master or clients).

I have a Titan Z in the slave machine wich is CUDA capable as far as i know. Latest drivers are installed.
Any advice?

Hi, my advice that firstly read messages. Second, run standalone in client to test your gpu and giving license.

It works now. I was controlling the slave via remotedesktop connection. That seems to be the issue somehow. If I disconnect the remote desktop it works.

Another question:
When rendering over network, is the slave GPU RAM taken into consideration ?

It will be considered as a internal gpu of master. So you can use Vram as much as lowest gpu on network chain. But 2.21 is out with "out of core support". It's new and i don't have any experience yet

So this means i can only use the 4 GB Ram from my laptops GC plus 4 GB of the titan? That would be a bummer.
I already tried to do a separate rendertest with the slave machine as a master. Problem here is that the C4D Octane plugin doesnt recognize the titan card. It says no CUDA devices available. However the standalone detects the Titan.
This is all very confusing. Any advice on that? I would really like to see if the slave machine alone is faster than this network setup with my laptop.

What's the standalone+plugin versions? What's the nvidia driver on titan system? Have you activated plugin in this machine? If you read release thread it will help to you.
