thanks alot for the link. Not sure why Ive had trouble with this - but I guess its key frameable.
Perhaps its cause the next step is likely having to go into the Poser dope sheet. -- I find that very unwieldy, if you want to readjust anything.

Enable Poser->Display->Guides->Focus Distance Guide. Set your focus at frame 1, then go to frame X and move thefocus distance guide to the new distance and you are done.

very good, and I gather one could have a different focus distance - for each frame - if
one so desired.
