Hi,

everytime I start 3ds max I get a message that tells me that the octane3dsmax.dlr is missing. I then have to click open (sometimes I have to confirm that message even several times)and everything works fine . But that's not normal is it? In the plugin installation message it tells me that everything was installed successfully. Does anyone get this error message too?

Nope, that's not normal.
Check your 3ds max\plugins folder. There should be only one Octane3dsmax.dlr file, and in the 3ds max root folder there should be an octane.dat and octane.dll.

edit: Also check the 3ds max plugin manager for OCTANE3DSMAX.DLR

I also get that message sometimes, not all the time, maybe it has to do something with opening and old project, and the older octane version maybe gets stuck.. I often get loads of max error messages like textures missing so I just got used to whatever crap it gives out
