Fog object shadow visibility

Hi there,
Im making big fog object and all works well, im just curious whats the correct approach (c4D) - if i turn the normals inside i cant generate fog. If the normals are 'normal' (pointed outside) than the fog is perfect. Also , what about shadow visibility in the octane object tag - should i turn it on or off ?
