RAM memory - importance?

Yes as the topic says - how important is the computers RAM amount in Octane context? Not VRAM.

As far as I know from reading somewhere on this forum it seeams that you need 3 to 4 times "used" vram to get fast voxelyzing...

I'm also really curious about this. I don't want to waste money on more RAM than I need, but I obviously don't want that to be a bottleneck. The machine I'm building is ONLY going to be a render machine for Octane. So how much would I need for an Octane only machine running 2 Titans and 4 780s?

Drop at least 16GB & then You can add more if You need, just don't populate slots with something like 4 or 2 GB slots =)
& don't buy fast (expensive) memory too, will not see any benefit.
